Rothbury, Michigan (Friday June 7th, 2013): The race fans at Winston Speedway in Rothbury, Michigan enjoyed kid’s night where there were plenty of games taking place, and some special bike giveaways were held as well. The night was headlined by the Sandy Tenbrink memorial for the Factory Stock & Mini Stock classes as they fought for $500 to win prizes respectively. The UMP Super Late Models, Street Stocks, Four-Cylinder Warriors, and Young Guns made up the rest of the local divisions. The MORA Mini Outlaws made their second visit for action on the fast 3/8ths (0.375) mile high banked dirt oval. A special demo derby was held for the fans entertainment.

12-Year old Tony Taylor was the winner in the Young Guns division. Billy Frey finished second, Morgan Smith was third, Trent Musk, and Kristina Johnson rounded out the top five. Taylor was also the heat race winner.

The Four-Cylinder Warriors would see Tim Stafford rise to the occasion and pick up the feature win. Ray Geeting was the second place finisher. 2011 track champion Chad Tomczak, Chris Gagnon, and Randy Whitten made up the rest of the top five. Duane Sober, Stafford, and Tomczak won the heat races.

The Four-Cylinder Mini Stocks went head to head in a feature for the Tenbrink memorial special $500 to win for the first of two races in the night. When everything was all said and done Rick Peck was the driver in the winner’s circle. He finished ahead of Chuck Peterson who was second. Rich Lieb was third, Brian Carson, and two time & defending UMP DIRTcar Eastern States and 2011 track champion Paul Namey capped off the top five. Doug Rousch settled for second, Bud Schrader, Ryan Reckow, and Rflyod Rousch finished off the top five finishers. Strong also won the heat.

The Factory Stocks held their part of the Tenbrink memorial race, again featuring a special $500 to win prize. Robbie Sternberg went out and picked up the big win. Josh Sternberg, Jerrid Bisson, Bethany May, and Nate Trick were the top five. Josh Grabe and Josh Sternberg picked up the heat victories.

The Street Stocks would see Derek Poland rise above the stellar twenty car field as the feature winner. The runner up position was taken by Brian “Dozer” Crane. Mark Farber, Spike Grega, and Ted Cooper made up the rest of the top five. The heat races were taken by Chuck Smith and Cooper.
