Racing Recap From 5/6/2016

What an exciting night of racing at Winston Speedway this past Friday. Driver's had their cars
out looking their best for Glamour Car awards this week. Fans voted Late Model driver #16 Garrett
Wiles, UMP Modified Kyle Novak #24, Michigan Dirt Modified Brad Bates #66, Street Stock #83 Josh
Sternberg, Michigan Dirt Stock #15 Nate Triick, Warrior #7 Ryan Hamm and Young Gun #17 Nathan
Magner. Features were filled with action packed 3-wide racing. Many races were very close to call.
We started the night with the Sprague's Auto Parts Young Gun feature and #22 Hope Morey getting the
victory, Hannah Thomas taking second and third going to Nathan Magner. Next up was the Street
Stocks with #85 Steve Fairbanks taking home the win. Derek Poland and Paul Namey finishing in
second and third. #2k Aaron Morey took the checkered flag for the UMP Modified class. Second
place went to Joe Rokos and John Hammerle third. #88 Greg Smith took home another win for the
Port City Chassis Michigan Dirt Modified class with second and third going to Gary Vandermark and
Larry Passenier. The Late Model win went to defending champion #72 Kyle Borgman. Rich Neiser
claimed second and Steve McClees finishing in third. It was a close race for the Felice Michigan Dirt
Stocks with #1x Mike Vandermark Jr taking the checkered flag. Nate Triick finished right on his heels
in second and Dan Wilson Jr in third. Finishing up the night was the ASAP Auto Sales Warrior class.
Ryan Hamm brought home the win with Mike Goodwin in second and Brian Carson finishing in third.
